Well…I guess it’s really about me. I am the one who does all the head work. My name is Larry Moore and I founded Mexico Performance Center in 1982. At that time there were several were Buick racers in the area, as well as many drag cars and street machines of all brands.( Mexico is a town of about 12,000 in north-central Missouri.) I built engines and carburetors, then began porting heads in the mid-80s. After going through a learning process I bought a flow bench (and went through another learning process). I later added the vertical mill, with seat-cutting tooling from Newen. So MPC Cylinder Heads was born. MPC is obviously a low volume operation. I can’t do a large number of heads, but all MPC heads receive my personal attention and the time it takes to do them right. I like working with off-beat things like vintage pulling tractors . Although I work with aftermarket performance heads, I also find it interesting to port factory castings for street machines. And, being a long-time Buick racer and GS Club member, I love to port Buick heads!
